HeyCarson has a New Look!
Drum roll, please…We are unveiling our new website! Don’t worry, our services haven’t changed (but they’ve definitely improved) – it was simply time for an updated look that reflected our growth as a company over the last 4 years.

This major redesign took months of work and dedication from our internal team as well as other professionals outside the company. The result is a website that’s easier to navigate, expanded services that are better understood and an overall fresh new look that has the user journey in mind.
Since being founded in 2015, we have helped over 9000 Shopify merchants with more than 31,000 small tasks. In our continuous quest to do so, we also had to take a look at our current website and decided that it needed a change.
After gathering data on the current user journey, we’ve made improvements that make HeyCarson even easier to use than before. Read on to learn more about these changes and what it means for current and future HeyCarson users (Or Carsoneers, as we like to affectionately call you).
Why Did We Do it?

To better communicate our values. HeyCarson was founded on principles of integrity, impact, and professionalism. We answer every inquiry we receive, so whether or not we are able to execute the task – you will hear from us. Our can-do attitude and commitment to efficiency are reflected in this new design, making it easier and faster to get in touch with us and find out information about who we are and what we do for the Shopify community.
To improve UX. What started the redesign was the launch of CarsonDash, the user interface we designed specifically for our clients. It’s where tasks are submitted, monitored and where you communicate with your assigned developer. We loved the design of the CarsonDash, and thought that the rest of the website should match as well. The point of CarsonDash was to make communication easy and straightforward with our customers, and HeyCarson as a whole should be just as easy to navigate.
- Sections like our task list, pricing and how the process works are now clearly accessible and more visually appealing than before.
- Our task catalog categories are now organized by color, allowing users to distinguish between them faster.
- Page layouts are more intuitive.
To improve overall site performance. Speed matters and our new design makes pages load even faster. It will also make it easier to implement 3rd party integrations since being part of the Shopify eco-system means you rarely work alone. Our site is built on Shopify, but we process payments and run CarsonDash through a 3rd party. The new changes make it run like a well-oiled machine.
Who Helped Us?
Our customers. Feedback from HeyCarson users has been an invaluable resource in this redesign. Communication from our clients for the past 4 years and our customer satisfaction survey results from June gave us insight on what you wanted from us as a business. The survey and all your feedback from over the years also influenced our design goals, and the website’s new look reflects what you told us.
Our design agency and partners. While our internal design team had a leading role in implementing these changes, we also worked with a professional design agency for this redesign. Our designers needed to stay focused on their primary goals – making your Shopify stores look great, so working with an agency allowed us to simultaneously continue doing what we do and launch our new website at the same time.
We also want to give a shout out to Out of the Sandbox (an independent Shopify theme designer) and their award-winning Retina theme – it made customization over the last 4 years a breeze. While Shopify is built for e-commerce, there’s a growing trend to use it for selling services and it’s definitely working for us! We also can’t stress the importance of choosing the right theme for your store.
Our developers. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into redesigning website – we won’t start describing the technical details here, but other than looking beautiful, our redesign’s aim was to make the website more efficient. That means faster loading times, better SEO and using all the technology tools available to us. Our talented developers were instrumental in implementing these changes and making sure the website functions as smoothly as possible.
Our team consists of people from all over the world and if you’d like to learn more about our international team, click here.
Change is Inevitable

The digital world evolves so quickly, and websites must evolve along with them. Our old website, while perfect for us when we started in 2015, didn’t clearly answer the question “What can HeyCarson do for my Shopify store?“. We didn’t need to redesign our site every year – it can be distracting not only to the team but to customers as well. However, after 4 years we learned a lot as a business and it was time to incorporate all those learnings into our new website.
Simplicity is another important aspect of the redesign. From the first visit to the website over to submitting a task on the CarsonDash to talking to our developers, we wanted the whole process to be uncomplicated. This is just another step in making the whole site experience more streamlined and straightforward.
Our new website plainly shows not only what we do, but how we do it. Stay tuned for the upcoming features of our new website features – we’re sure they will make small Shopify tasks even easier to implement. We are so excited to share this beautiful new website – without you, it wouldn’t have been possible.
