We are an LGBTQ+ business selling pride apparel and fashion accessories. The brand launched in 2020 in Singapore but is now in Canada. We stock all our own inventory and handle all fulfillment ourselves. Our target market is mainly the LGBTQ+ community and our allies. Business has been going great so far with no intention of slowing down!
Describe the experience
The debut theme has been great so far. I have learned to manage most of the code myself and have freelance developers who we hire for bigger projects. We are enjoying using the theme and have no complaints thus far. I love that the standard sections provided are good enough to build a strong website that converts. I would advise new users to get familiar with the code and try to edit it themselves. Inspect their own website and try to find the matching code to make minor edits where needed. Not everything needs a freelance developer to be done!

This is a standard amongst all Shopify themes. We know that it is intentional to make the sections not entirely editable such as set margins and padding for everything, but it would be wonderful to have the ability to make more granular changes to each section. Similar to Elementor on Wordpress, where you can dive deeper into the settings to customize the little things like spacing and size. That would be a dream come true.

We chose this theme because we are using a third-party suppliers API to create part of the user experience, mostly around search, and this theme includes a prominent search bar where users can query by their part number. It also includes a product finder (which we have to modify for appliances), and is AJAX-enabled which is key for our integration.

MeiMeiStitch centers around cross stitch kits and other similar products in the circle, such as embroidery kits, punch needle kits, and diamond art. My family has endured a lot of tribulations these last couple of years, as many people have as well. My eagerness to start my own business is to complete a dream of being my own businesswoman and providing for my family. I target those who have the same interest as myself and MeiMeiStitch. Such as cross-stitchers, embroidery lovers, and enthusiasts of the crafting world and home decor. As one of the trials in the last few years, we lost our fur baby (cat) Mei Mei. Her full name is Xiao Mei, meaning "little beautiful" in mandarin, therefore MeiMeiStitch means "little beautiful stitch". MeiMeiStitch is very new (established on March 30, 2022) and is still growing by trying to drive traffic to the website through ads on Facebook and Instagram. Eventually, I would like to place ads on Pinterest and Google Ads. I've only made two orders and I'm seeking ways to continue to drive traffic and gain followers on Facebook and Instagram. Wondering if my prices are too high or if I do not have enough materials on the site. I am planning to add themes to the head of the page but I'm waiting till my 10% off sale ends on April 6th before doing so. In the meantime, I am researching new items to add and alert subscribers with.

We are selling chic and durable luggage sets on our website. We have launched this website for about a month. We previously sold our products on eBay, Home Depot, etc, and would like to establish a DTC sales channel this year that's why we started this Shopify store. And currently, we are using the debut theme.

It's a great theme for beginners like us to start with. But it does have a lot of limitations. For example, we could not directly adjust the width between each section on theme settings and we need to edit the code instead. But the good thing is that a lot of people are using this theme, and we can easily find most of the solutions to problems we met so far.

It is a one-product Shopify store and I am selling a handlebar cycle bag. I am trying to tap into the new fad of cycling all over the world. Urban cyclists who use cycles for work or leisure and those who ride long distances during weekends are my target customers. It's been around one week of me running FB ads with 4 different ad sets. So far it isn't so great honestly. I have had around 300 store sessions with just 2 add to carts and zero buys.

The Shopify theme is simple but effective. The image slider is a nice touch on the front page. I would have liked the sticky button for the main bar though. It met my expectations for the most part. I wouldn't say it is loaded with functionalities.

The Debut theme looks really great for my brand, although I might go with something else if I were to be selling more exciting products. I did find that there were some limitations on customization, most of which were minor. Primarily, adjusting the size of images was a bit lacking. Overall, I wish the interface was a bit more intuitive, but I like the way it looks. At the moment I'm pleased, even if it took longer to set up than I had intended.

I love the theme. It is simple, very easy to maneuver. I was able to find my way and learned along the way. There were some times when I became overwhelmed but once I calmed down and tried again everything went smoothly. We are running a store that is rechargeable lights, lamps, and more.
Describe the experience
The theme, provided by Shopify is overall pretty good, it has good-ish functionality, with an included header in the theme, although if you try to make it a sticky header, it cuts off content for the pages, it also has email-signup sections, and in the footer, and overall, it provides acceptable functionality for a new store, and one not netting any gain just yet.

Describe the experience
I like the simple, classy look of the Debut theme. It has been fun being able to design my own online store and the Debut theme ended up being a great choice for my type of shop. The navigation is simple and I really appreciate being able to set up a store by myself. I would choose the Debut theme again any day.

LIFE.engage is a home improvement product store, that is selling functional products aimed at solving problems at home.
Describe the experience
The strength would be it's simple, straightforward, and good for my store as I want to create a minimalist interface. But when I want to add some features, most require customization and a developer to add that feature in, which would take time and might not get the results I want if I were to do it myself, and cost money if I were to hire. If those features are included as part of the drag-and-drops it would be good.

I launched a homemade soap shop to provide people with homemade skin products that do not contain harmful industrial ingredients. I haven't started converting sales but I'm happy with the start so far.

I love that the theme is very easy to use. I first expected it to be complicated to use, which would would be frustrating, but to my surprise I have been able to navigate the theme very easily. I would love to see more options to customize the footer directly from the store customization functionality. For example, I would like the option to free text footer information like my company contact information.

We sell renewed/refurbished cell phones, tablets, laptops, other electronics, and accessories. SmartphonesPLUS's Shopify store was launched at the beginning of 2020 right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has since been gaining a lot of traction. However, we are looking into ways to make the site more user-friendly.

It is the intro theme. There isn't much to it. We'd be happy to have more features and design options. Our catalog is quite large so it would be very helpful to have a theme that has better menus and product pages to help customers navigate with ease.

A home accessories store in the uk focusing on country style. As I have always wanted to start a home interiors business, I decided during lockdown that an online store would be the best way to achieve this, which is why I started the Shopify website. I launched in January this year and all was going well. However the last few weeks have slowed right down, I assume this is due to the algorithms on Instagram and Facebook changing which is where I do most of my advertising. Unfortunately a lot of posts are not being seen by potential customers so there has not been as much traffic to my website.
