We have been using the Pipeline theme for our men's eco-friendly shaving subscription box for over 5 years now. Our goal has always been to turn your daily chore into a satisfying ritual, which we do by showing our members how to use a single-blade razor for consistently comfortable shaves every time combined with curated skincare products from brands you won't find in the supermarket.

The Pipeline theme has helped to ensure our website looks professional, easy to navigate, and high quality.
There have been times when I felt it wasn't as customisable as I'd like, missing features I had seen in other themes. However, regular updates continue to improve the experience and the support from Groupthought has always been excellent, often going out of their way to help with problems that have arisen.

I'd like to see specific features that help subscription box businesses such as ours show off our unique model a bit better, such as a build-a-box selector to make the process of selecting the right subscription easier for the customer.

As an interior designer, my clients appreciate aesthetics. I wish there were more options to customize the way pages (particularly product pages) look while maintaining SEO. I also wish there was an option to turn off pricing on the product pages. I realize I am using Shopify/Pipeline outside of the scope it was meant for though and I'm happy with the company and the service so I live with it.

About the Shopify business
Wearwell uses the Pipeline theme to manage our store that carries product from nearly 50 different brands. Our target market is the conscious consumer and we sell clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, and home goods. The Pipeline theme has been so easy to use and makes our store look elevated without much effort on our side for design or extra development.
Describe the experience
We've loved the Pipeline theme. The only area of improvement we've seen is that occasionally there will be too much space between content blocks and there's no way to control that is the theme settings unless you want to add additional code to the site. This challenge, however, is not unique to the Pipeline theme.

The only suggestion we have for the theme developer is to provide the ideal image sizes for each content block either with explanatory language in the theme editor or in general documentation so that it's easier to upload images that are high res enough and cropped properly but not so large that they slow the site down. One more suggestion is to offer the option for a Quick Add to Cart that shows the product details in a pop-up window. Right now, the user can't see product details.

Our web developer showed us the Pipeline theme as well as a few others. We chose the Pipeline theme because it's very clean and modern looking. We especially liked the easy navigational features and the layout of the product descriptions. It allows us to include a lot of information and resources, but in a very clean and non-cluttered way.

Our web developer vanished on us before the transition was complete, so I am wondering if you have anyone that can help us with the fine-tuning process. For example, I didn't realize a lot of our little customizations would disappear, like the popup for our email list. I'd also like to know how to change the wording during checkout for notes. Instead of special notes to seller, I'd like it to say: Notes (preferences/gift note/preferred ship date)

About the Shopify business
MASAMI is clean premium haircare with a Japanese ocean botanical for weightless hydration. MASAMI is vegan, cruelty free and gender neutral. MASAMI launched in February 2020 at New York Fashion Week with shampoo, conditioner, shine serum and styling cream. We are DTC+, we sell on our own site but also on Amazon, other e-commerce sites, salons, boutiques.
Describe the experience
We like the simple modern look and feel of the Pipeline theme. It was fairly easy to set up. The challenge is doing any type of customization. We have had issues plugging in apps like review apps (they don't show up in the right place on the product pages and need a developer to fix), checkout apps (they also have been a nightmare on this theme). Formatting of key pages like our Team Page has been really difficult as well.

We chose the Pipeline theme because it is clean and crisp. Easy to use and update, over 3 years on we are really pleased with it and happy with the decision. We've found it very simple to add apps, create products as we've expanded and collections.
The only thing that would improve it is the speed on mobile.

Laboratoires Téane is a French company. They sell certified organic care for pregnant women, young mothers and babies. The products are dedicated to the prevention and repair of stretch marks for mothers and atopic eczema for babies and children. The products are very effective for these skin problems. The brand has registered patents on a plant from Madagascar called Cassia Alata.

We are using the pipeline theme since June 2022. The pipeline theme is very nice and modern. We can easily customize the website to adapt it to our graphic charter. I was able to contact the customer service and I can tell you that they are excellent: they are fast and very efficient.

It would be interesting to add video banners for the homepage. It is very trendy. I find that it also lacks some parameters to add titles, subtitles (h1, h2, h3...) for SEO.

About the Shopify business
Valka Yoga is a sustainable yoga brand based in Australia and New Zealand. For the past 5 years, we have been creating and curating ethically sourced yoga gear ranging from yoga mats to bolsters, bottles to blocks, bags to straps and everything in between. We have been using Pipeline as our Shopify theme for the past 3 years and we find it to be perfect for our needs. It has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a paid theme plus a few more built specially for ecommerce - think scrolling promotions, review widgets, upsells, cross-sells, quick buys, etc. To top it all, the support is fantastic. The Groupthought team always gets back to us with a helpful response within 24 hours.
Describe the experience
The support documentation available on Groupthought's website is comprehensive, containing detailed instructions on how to use every feature available in the theme. Whenever I have had issues implementing something on this theme, I have found some guidance there. My favourite part is the long list of section types available to build out pages. This provides me with a lot more flexibility to build out individual product pages. I'm able to easily add trust badges and build testimonials based on reviews from customers as well as endorsements from influencers. I can also easily add these along the customer journey. The inbuilt quick buy and custom upsell functions have been invaluable in improving my average order values. Most themes do not have this and require a separate app to be installed (and another subscription to be paid for). The only minor downside is the site speed but I suppose all the customization options come at a cost - it's a small price to pay for so much functionality.

Continue adding useful functionality inline with best eCommerce practices. And continue providing 5 star support. If the theme can be made to perform faster on mobile, it would easily be the best Shopify theme out there.
