About the Shopify business
In 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, Solo Inline shop became the first and only store dedicated to inline skating in the province of Quebec, offering several product lines for many customers, both in store and online. We define ourselves as being the reference in Quebec and eastern Canada in the world of inline skating. Solo Inline shop is a boutique located in the heart of Montreal. We offer a wide selection of inline skates and accessories for men, women and children for all styles: fitness, park, urban, aggressive, long distance and more. Our mission: to rally passion and build together a community of skating enthusiasts!
Describe the experience
The theme pairs well with our store which has a lot of different products and brands and high volume. The menu gives plenty of options for navigation and a lot of categories/collections. Selling in other countries or in 2 languages (en/fr) is easy with the country and language selector. We love the pop up on the homepage to gather customers email addresses. There is some useful features for communication and promos like the announcement bar, cross page promos and store messages. We love the collection pages that can show subcollections in the header, the ability to show color options underneath the product image and the available sizes. On the product pages, we love the collapsable tabs, product filtering and new-in tags. It also seems like I don't receive any communication when a theme update is available. Some apps that we like are product reviews, pre-order (we are trying to move the theme pre-order feature), size charts and a translation app. We are still in search of some cross-sell/upsell apps.

Some features that I think are missing or would want to be refined/made easier would be the ability to create other tags on collections pages such as a ''pre-order'' tag. The pre-order can also be a bit tricky to integrate, we are in the process of making the transition from another app. The cross-sell on the product pages could also be easier and have more options. It would be nice to be able to customize the pop up when a product is added to cart. It would also be nice if we could structure our blog differently with another menu or categories instead of just one post under the other without organization. I'd love to see more tools to upgrade our cross-sell, upsell and conversion. More search bar options would be nice. The size charts option is not really appropriate to multiple products and brands because we have to create a page for each.
