Describe the experience
The Impulse theme has been straightforward to install and launch. However, we did utilize an agency to launch due to bandwidth issues. The documentation was good, and support has been helpful the few times we've reached out. We did have to make a few customizations because or some styling issues that seemed to be overlooked (mostly spacing).

Overall love the theme, but there are some missing pieces that cannot customize things as needed, specifically in the product details. Mostly just spacing. But I recommend the theme to anyone who asks!

What makes a good Shopify theme is the combination of design, SEO performance and user-friendliness. The Impulse theme includes this plus much more. The out of the box features are powerful enough to service any ecommerce needs for medium to large store owners without any customisations needed, however if you require any additional features, the code is well written for any Shopify professional to build on top off without any trouble. Whilst there are cheaper theme options out there, the great support and ongoing upgrades make the initial investment well worth the expense.

Bayam sells real gold jewelry specialized in hip-hop jewelry. We launched Bayam Jewelry in 2016. With Shopify 2.0 updates and Impulse theme, we were able to make the website much faster and user friendly.
Describe the experience
Impulse is great for large catalog companies. Product page details are great, we are able to list all necessary information regarding product, shipping and returns. It’s very user friendly, and works so well on mobile.

Clean design, clean javascript code, clean modular css - easy to tap into documentation. Many aspects well documented and explained, others are self-explanatory. No bloat in code, no jquery, making it a perfect choice. Regular updates keep it a must-have install.

Continue as is, love the recent idea to showcase new elements via short videos (Oct. 2022, V7.10). Would be nice to optimise some (still) open Google Lighthouse bugs that could be easily fixed for the benefit of every impulse theme user (i.e. missing height/width from images, potential easy fix); or adding in code to optimise FCP (via preloading the respective image). Not sure why this is not done for everyone.

About the Shopify business
I'm a professional artist/painter who sells original paintings, art prints, events and commissions through my Shopify site. My business launched in 2020 but didn't gain sales until 2021. My target audience is professional women 35+ based in the United States.
Describe the experience
I purchased the Impulse theme because I liked the layout and aesthetic. It also includes features like announcement banner and email pop-up, so I don't need additional Shopify apps. Although the menu layout is nice, it was a little difficult to set-up. One con is that I can't change the color of the Sale and Sold Out notification on products without editing code. Overall, it's a good theme but may require custom coding based on your needs.

We make bison apparel, socks, gloves, hats, etc.. have been using impulse for over a year, and our target market is 25-70 year old outdoors enthusiasts, has been quite effective.

At least for the moment, we love it. Very happy with it's mobile performance, which seems to be doing pretty well. I am not as excited about the page load speeds, but that might be other issues. I would love something faster, but for now, this is good.

About the Shopify business
I'm selling Chewma Protein Bites, a savory snack that's gluten and grain-free, low-carb and high protein. The site launched in early March and I just started getting orders. The target is the "whole foods mom". On the go moms who don't have time to stop for a meal.
Describe the experience
The theme has clearly delineated blocks for different functions. While I am not the developer, I have been able to make some changes, such as increasing logo size on header, pretty easily. There are other areas that are a little more challenging to update such as the footer. I had to hire a developer because I was adding bundles and this required a third party app.
